The Division of Student Affairs provides a combination of student learning and development interventions, service delivery and facility management through the 25 units that compose the Division and that report to the Vice President for Student Affairs.
In planning for a possible world-wide pandemic or public health emergency, the Division of Student Affairs will coordinate efforts to provide the following essential services for all Ann Arbor campus students: .
University Housing and University Unions will continue to make food available to students during a Pandemic Influenza outbreak impacting the Ann Arbor campus.
University Housing will continue to provide living space for healthy students for 90 days during a Pandemic Influenza outbreak impacting the Ann Arbor campus. Students who are ill will be moved to hospital or a medically staffed and maintained space. Custodial, maintenance and supervisory staff will continue to maintain shelter spaces.
University Health Service (UHS) will continue to provide essential health services and coordinate the majority of physical health services with students on the Ann Arbor campus. UHS will work in cooperation with the University of Michigan Health System to meet the needs of students on the Ann Arbor campus.
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will continue functions and services that are critical to the mental health needs of students and the University community during a time of crisis. CAPS will also provide leadership for the University in the core area of student mental health.
