The Business & Finance Division includes more than 30 organizations that report to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to provide infrastructure services essential to supporting the students, faculty and staff of the University of Michigan. The major areas include Facilities & Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Investments, and MAIS (Michigan Administrative Information Services).
The basic assumption used in the Business Continuity Planning process is that the Business & Finance (B&F) organization will make every effort to continue support functions for the University in whatever course of action the Executive Officers determine is required. B&F is a support organization to the research and academic mission of the University and will not be the reason those missions cannot move forward.
